According to a report from La Nazione, Tottenham Hotspur have made an inquiry to sign Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic this January.
The Serie A club are holding out for £23m for the Serbian international with long time admirers Manchester United also said to be an interested party.
After breaking out in Fiorentina’s first team back in 2017, 26 capped Serbian player has been an ever present defensive wall making 14 appearances so far this year.
Jose Mourinho has been for looking a new central defender even after bringing in Welsh defender Joe Rodon in this year summer transfer window. The dramatic fall in the form of Davinson Sanchez has forced the club to look for more options with the North London club attempting to sign Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar in the summer but were put off his asking price of around £40m.
The Serie A side have been expecting Milenkovic’s departure for years now and they will make a hefty profit on their £4.5m investment.
