Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both interested in signing Elye Wahi, a forward for Montpellier who will be 20 this year, during the forthcoming summer transfer window – but they face competiton from Paris Saint-Germain, the French powerhouse, who look at him as a possible Hugo Ekitike replacement. Wahi has a current market value of €32 million, and has a record of 10 goals and 3 assists in Ligue 1.
Wahi may have an opportunity to play for one of France’s top clubs if he moves to PSG, but he may not get much playing time there – something that has already been set precedence with Hugo Ekitike. On the other side, clubs like Arsenal and Tottenham want to invest in a young player with star potential. Wahi could replace Folarin Balogun at Arsenal if Balogun is sold or loaned out.
Meanwhile, Wahi might be an excellent addition for Tottenham as they aim to expand their attack beyond Harry Kane.
Elye Wahi’s future is up in the air as the summer transfer window approaches, and clubs like Everton, who were interested in signing him in January, could still be in the running.
Wahi’s future is uncertain at the moment, but he has all the tools to become a star in Europe, so the competition to sign him might be thrilling.
