The hunt for a Tottenham manager looks like a never-ending process as talks with Paulo Fonseca face a major roadblock. Now it looks like that after Antonio Conte, Fonseca to Spurs also looks off.
Since the sacking of Jose Mourinho, Spurs are looking for a new manager and it looks like that the hunt will continue after talks with Paulo Fonseca have gone the opposite way. Earlier there was news about the verbal agreement between the manager and Tottenham Hotspur and the appointment looked very certain.
However, now Fabrizio Romano, one of the most reliable sources, has reported that Paulo Fonseca to Tottenham is off. The reason stated for it is tax issues. Fonseca had tax advantages from an Italian law that are not applicable in the UK. Despite all contracts being agreed, the deal is now completely off.

This situation is just terrible news for Spurs’ fans as they have now seen it twice in a month where a manager is very close to joining them but the deal did not reach conclusion. Paulo Fonseca joins Antonio Conte in this list as the Italian too was very close to penning a deal at the white side of London but talks broke off in the last stages.
Now many reports are listing Gennaro Gattuso as Spurs’ top target as Fiorentina announced his departure just 20 days after his appointment.
