Its seems like Manchester United have been linked with a move for Toby Alderweireld since ages but the Reds from Manchester have finally moved on from their pursuit for Belgium International.
Manchester Evening News claims that Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s United are not looking to land Toby despite the Belgian defender available for £25 million, as reports claim the Red Devils aren’t looking to trigger his release clause.
Toby was due out of contract this summer (until Spurs triggered their twelve month extension to the contract), and Jose Mourinho was highly interested in landing the 30-year-old to provide some maturity to their vulnerable defence. Though with sacking of Jose, Manchester United have ended their interest in Alderweireld and are looking for some young and preferably British legs.

Alderweireld could have helped Manchester United in the short-run, but his aging could be one of the probable reasons for Man United to drop out of the race [to sign him].
Toby Alderweireld was an integral figure for Mauricio last campaign, especially with injuries happening around him. Though, it seems like Toby’s transfer saga will be dragged till the end of window as it did back in January and last summer as well.
