Tottenham thrashed Eddie Howe’s side Bournemouth 5-0 at the Wembley to climb up to the second position in the league as the city suffered another defeat. Howe speaking after the match talked about Spurs chances to win the league and whether they are contenders for the trophy or not.
During the post match interview Howe said ti Sky sports said, “Without a doubt. They’ve got the forward players and the creative players that can cause anyone problems.”
“They are in great form and are very clinical – we had equally good chances but didn’t take them.”
Howe was linked to taking up the managerial role at Spurs if Pochettino joining United. Man City were defeated once again in the league at Leicester after their last weekend defeat at home to Crystal Palace.
Tottenham have scored 11 goals in the last 2 matches and look in contention to end their trophy drought this season sitting in the 2nd position in the league and having already booked their place in the round of 16 of the Champions league and Semifinals of the EFL cup.
Spurs next host Wolverhampton before traveling to Cardiff.
