Crystal Palace predicted lineup vs Tottenham: the Eagles will be without at least three players in N17 on Saturday, but their captain is back between the posts and their first-choice striker is expected to return to lead the line.
Spurs host Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at 5.30pm UK time on Saturday 31 October. We have already set out the Tottenham predicted lineup vs Crystal Palace, so here is how the visitors are likely to shape up.
According to Sports Mole, Ismaila Sarr is still struggling with a groin injury and remains sidelined, along with defensive pair Takehiro Tomiyasu (calf) and Chadi Riad (knee).
The better news for under-pressure head coach Pierre Sage is that Quinten Timber, who has missed the previous three games with a hamstring issue, may feature in some capacity. Jorgen Strand Larsen is training individually and could also be ready to return to the matchday squad.
Crystal Palace predicted lineup vs Tottenham
Crystal Palace predicted lineup vs Tottenham (3-4-2-1): Henderson; Canvot, Disasi, Richards; Khalaili, Wharton, Kamada, Mitchell; Pino, Nketiah; Mateta
That means changes from the side that won 1-0 at Fulham in the EFL Cup fourth round on Wednesday, with wing-backs, centre-backs and the striker all expected to switch back.
Dean Henderson: Crystal Palace predicted lineup vs Tottenham in goal
Henderson was fit to start in goal in midweek after missing the previous nine games through injury. The Eagles captain is expected to play again, with Walter Benitez providing cover.
Jaydee Canvot: in for Ahanor
Canvot may come into the back three in place of Honest Ahanor, who started at Craven Cottage.
Axel Disasi: Lerma makes way
Disasi is in line to replace Jefferson Lerma in the defensive line for Saturday.
Chris Richards: Crystal Palace predicted lineup vs Tottenham centre-back
Richards is expected to complete the trio, the one centre-back whose place does not look up for debate.
Anan Khalaili: Crystal Palace predicted lineup vs Tottenham wing-back
Khalaili is expected to return as one of the two wing-backs.
Adam Wharton: first name in midfield
Timber may be available, but Wharton and Daichi Kamada remain the most likely duo to start in centre-midfield.
Daichi Kamada: keeps Timber waiting
Kamada should partner Wharton, with Timber’s involvement after his hamstring layoff likely to be limited.
Tyrick Mitchell: back at wing-back
Mitchell is expected to return at wing-back, completing the changes out wide.
Yeremy Pino: Crystal Palace predicted lineup vs Tottenham attacking midfield
Pino gets the nod in the predicted XI, with Dwight McNeil the alternative.
Eddie Nketiah: the cup winner pushes for a start
Nketiah led the line for the Eagles and scored the only goal at Fulham on Wednesday. He could join Jean-Philippe Mateta in attack, though Pino and McNeil are pushing him for that role.
Jean-Philippe Mateta: Crystal Palace predicted lineup vs Tottenham up front
Mateta is expected to be restored as Palace’s central striker, with Strand Larsen at most a squad option after training individually.
Crystal Palace team news before Tottenham
Sarr, Tomiyasu and Riad are the confirmed absentees. Timber is the one Sage has confirmed could feature, while Strand Larsen’s return to the squad depends on how his individual work goes in the final sessions before Saturday.

What it means for Spurs
A back three with two attacking wing-backs is a setup Spurs have to respect, especially with Mitchell and Khalaili expected to return. Sarr’s absence is still a blow for Palace, and one the Lilywhites will happily take.
The bigger worry is a front three of Mateta, Nketiah and Pino with a match-winner from Wednesday already in it. As we argued in our look at why Palace at home is a bigger test than the Chelsea win, this is no gimme for De Zerbi’s side.
