First Start. First Goal. Worth the Wait.
As expected, Tottenham Boss Mauricio Pochettino made several changes to the team with Giovani Lo Celso being handed his first full start. Handed his first start, the Argentine scores his first goal for Tottenham against Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League group stage clash.
Since making a move to North London, the 23-year-old made six appearances for Spurs out of that five have been from the bench. But after impressing in the first half against Red Star, Spurs faithful on social media were particularly raving about Spurs’ midfield pair, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso who were starting together for the first time.
Following an impressive night in Serbia, fans are demanding more of Giovani Lo Celso in the Premier League, and you can easily point it out from their reactions on Twitter:

Giovani Lo Celso has scored as many goals (1) as Christian Eriksen for Spurs this season in 725 fewer minutes 👀 #COYS

Lo Celso done more in that build up than a certain someone has all season 🤣 love that he gets stuck in. Proper Argentine grit.

Very decent performance so far. Lo Celso / Ndombele / Foyth all very good.
