Well, the transfer coming on the deadline day means he wasn’t able to compete in the Premier League game against Burnley at the weekend. Just stating the obvious, that Brennan Johnson completed £47.5 million transfer from Nottingham Forest.
Currently with Wales national team on international duty for the upcoming games against Son’s South Korea and Latvia, Johnson is quite determined to impress Ange Postecoglou and earn a place in the his starting lineup for when Spurs return against Sheffield United on September 16.
And once we are done with the Sheffield thing, there is quite a couple of games to reckons with… North London Derby against Arsenal and a home game against Liverpool. Johnson speaks in excitement about the NLD and is looking forward to make an impact.
“The derby. It’s coming up as well, so that’s one that will be surreal for me,” Johnson speaking when in a video on SPURSPLAY that goes behind the scenes of his move to N17.
“It’s not a long time after [the international break]. It’ll feel crazy but I’m ready for it.”
Brennan also discussed his shirt number in a video about his move to Tottenham – at Nottingham he wore the No. 20 jersey but with that number was already donned by Fraser Forster, he opted for the No. 22 shirt, a number he is comfortable with and had previously requested at Nottingham Forest.
