The same continues this preseason as well, Spurs have carried along a list of youngsters on the tour, one of them being Japhet Tanganga – the man we’ve all be talking about. The young and robust defender is not a placent finding of Pochettino and has been with Spurs since he was 10.
Player profile
Full Name: Japhet Tanganga
Date of Birth (Age): Mar 31, 1999 (20)
Place of Birth: London
Position: Centre-Back
Tanganga has already had the experience of pre-season tours, his first game being 12 months back, against Girona. And in the international front, the centre-back has won trophies with U-20 squad.
The 20-year-old defender is being viewed as a back-up option for Toby Alderweireld who is making rumours of the departure but ain’t leaving; anyway we have to be prepared.
A guy with appropriate height and excellent physique, Tanganga transcends his age way beyond explainable. The youngster is a threat to any oppositions forward and can cease any form of attack.
The centre-back was on spot for whatever time he played against Manchester United, alongside Jan Vertonghen in the heart of the defence and Walker-Peters and Anthony Georgiou in the flanks.
Still a lot to showcase, Tanganga and Troy Parrott surely hold the future of where Spurs may pan out to be in near time.
