Tottenham Hotspur are eager to bring Andrea Berta, the transfer expert from Atletico Madrid, on board. The North London club aims to enhance its decision-making capabilities as part of its efforts to revamp its internal structure.
The Lilywhites are looking to restructure their club hierarchy for the last few years after the exit of the Italian regime that had been dictating calls. However, luring Andrea Berta into their club won’t be easy for Spurs. Daniel Levy and his team will face tough competition from Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain; two clubs who have been stalking Berta for a while now.
Signing Andrea Berta would be a great blessing for resurgent Spurs who have been on the right track of revival under their new manager Ange Postecoglou. The former Celtic coach has had an overwhelming start to the new season and is yet to face a defeat.
His attacking and no-nonsense style of play has done wonders for Spurs who are 2nd on the table having scored as many goals as Manchester City until now.
Berta has a similar approach to that of Ange Postecoglou and therefore Daniel Levy wants to unite the duo. Scott Munn has taken over the new role as the Chief Financial Officer at Tottenham Hotspur and thus the club now wants to find a new brain head who will oversee transfer activities which were previously held by Fabio Paratici.
Andrea Berta ticks all the boxes required to be a member of Tottenham Hotspur and certainly seems a perfect profile for the Lilywhites but in all realistic sense, his arrival at the club is going to be a tough fight. Both Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain have huge pockets to spare and luring the Atletico Madrid guy won’t be easy.
