There has been some serious concerns going around regarding the creative aspects as all the rumors linking Christian Eriksen away from Tottenham has seen his form dip lately and Spurs faithful would rather watch him leave rather than dispassionate performances time-in-time-out.
And all those frustrations complemented by off-putting results has led to much anticipated rumors linking the club to highly regarded CAM’s, and one of those has been Hakim Ziyech.
Ziyech was linked with a move to North London during the summer (in fact both sides of North London, Red as well as White), after his impressive outings in Ajax’s run to the Champions League semi-finals where they were knocked-out by Maurico Pochettino & Co.
Ziyech scored a stunning curling strike, though Spurs progressed to the final on away goals after the scores finished 3-3 on aggregate.
Former Spurs midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has contacted club’s chairman Daniel Levy and urged him to bring Ajax winger Hakim Ziyech next summer. The Morocco international will certainly be a valuable addition at White Hart Lane and above all be sprinkles of salt to Arsenal supporters as the Gunners are also said to be targeting Ziyech to fill in for aging Mesut Ozil.
“I really hope he goes to Tottenham Hotspur, I sent a message today to [Daniel] Levy, I said: Get Ziyech after this season,” Van der Vaart told Voetbal Primeur.
“I am convinced that he becomes a sensation in London, and I also wish him that.
“I hope Spurs takes him and we will see.”
Hakim was on scoresheets once again in Ajax’s 4-0 victory over Feyenoord on Sunday which takes his season tally to five goals in 10 appearances in the Eredivisie. He excelled in European elite last season and has recorded one goal in Champions League this campaign.
Tottenham are also said to be in pursuit of Juventus star-man Paulo Dybala but Sky Sports also report them to be tracking Brazilian international Everton Soares.
