Tottenham Hotspur and Real Betis officials reportedly met in London to discuss the transfer of Giovani Lo Celso.
Betis have placed a €100 million release clause on the Argentine midfielder. However, will be more than happy to let the player go for around €75 million.
Betis signed Celso from PSG last summer for a fee of €25 million last summer.
Betis are looking to make a huge profit from the sale of Celso in order to bring in new players to the team (which was confirmed earlier this week by New Betis manager Rudi).
Reportedly, Spurs had €40 million plus add-ons deal rejected for the player.
Estadio Deportivo also claim that Manchester United have offered €75 million for Lo Celso, but the player has expressed his desire to join Spurs.
Lo Celso is playing with his National team Argentina in the Copa America and would only make complete the transfer when he returns from international duty in July.
Despite the high price tag Spurs look set to lure the player to North-London as they look to make their first signing since January 2018.
