Tottenham Hotspur continue their search for summer recruit and this time they are linked with Croatian centre back Domagoj Vida.
Vida have been impressing with the Turkish giants Besiktas over the past few seasons.
Rumors suggest Tottenham’s interest in 29-year-old Croatian Domagoj Vida, who is in exceptional form for his country at the World Cup in Russia. Recently, Vida scored an extra-time header to bring his team back in the lead against Russia in a Quarterfinal match.
Vida has attracted the attention of several other clubs including Liverpool and Everton, thanks to his team’s successful run in the World Cup. The defender joined Besiktas in January 2018 in a free transfer and has now seen a sudden surge in his market value.
Turkish outlet A Spor claims that Tottenham have made a bid of £16 million for the centre-back. Looking at his form it is justifiable to assume that the Croatian could be a powerful addition to the team in their bid to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
Vida is not the only defender whose name has been joined with Tottenham, as AC Milan’s Ricardo Rodriguez is also highly linked with a move to Wembley.
