Tottenham already searching for a Tanguy Ndombele substitute

Tanguy Ndombele may well leave London this summer courtesy a flawed relationship with Tottenham manager in charge Jose Mourinho.

The Frenchman still hangs as a long-term contract and many clubs including Barcelona are interested in signing the former Lyon star. Spurs have surely missed a midfield substitute of Moussa Dembele and if Ndombele leaves too, it will be tough for the North Londoners to have a strong midfield.

Tottenham Hotspur are therefore planning to sign Denis Zakaria who is termed to be their dream signing. The Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder has shown the world his prowess and has been one of the key member of Marco Rose’s team this season.

He has a remarkable work ethic in the midfield which coupled with positional sense and tenacity make him a deadly option in the centre of the field. This also enhances his effectiveness in the second line of the press.

Zakaria can also be an ideal partner to someone like Harry Winks. Both the midfielders are brilliant passers of the ball and can bring some calmness in the midfield.

The Swiss starlet is going to cost a fortune and to get hold of him will be the toughest task considering the number of clubs interested in him.

  1. If the rumours of Ndombele being set to leave are true, I think that is pretty tragic considering he’s never really gotten going since joining Tottenham last summer. We did see glimpses of brilliance early on however since Mourinho replaced our best coach in years in Pochettino, Ndombeles career has crumbled somewhat! Personally I am certain this is a player with enormous talent and potential and I see him coming good at some point, sadly I’ve got a feeling it will be elsewhere and that will be Tottenhams loss! If he does go I just hope we replace him with someone who is actually going to make a difference, as opposed to one of Levy’s haphazard and vaguely hopeful bargain basement buys!
