Lucas Bergvall is a Swedish midfielder who signed for Tottenham from Djurgardens IF in 2024. A fluent, composed player with excellent balance and an impressive ability to turn away from pressure, he was identified as one of Scandinavia’s finest young talents before his move to London.
Bergvall prefers to play in the middle of the pitch, where he can receive the ball under pressure, spin out of tight spots and drive forward. Roberto De Zerbi values midfielders who can progress play with the dribble as well as the pass, and Bergvall fits that profile. He has strong competition, yet his technical quality means he is always in the conversation for a place.
Our Bergvall page is where you will find the latest news about the Swede, from injury updates and team selection to contract developments and transfer rumours. We also publish match analysis that looks at his positioning, his ball-carrying and how he compares with other Spurs midfielders. Stay with us to follow the progress of a player with a very bright future.
