Ben Davies is a Welsh defender who has been at Tottenham since joining from Swansea City in 2014. A left-footed player who can operate at centre-back or left-back, he has been one of the club’s most reliable and unfussy performers for well over a decade, and he is a regular for Wales as well.
At this stage of his career, Davies brings experience, calm and a deep understanding of the club to a squad that has been refreshed heavily by Roberto De Zerbi. His comfort in possession and left-sided passing make him a useful option in a back line built to play out, and younger team-mates benefit from his example in the dressing room.
