Spurs monitoring Isco situation at Real Madrid

According to a report from ESPN, Spurs are monitoring Isco’s situation and they may move for him in the coming days. The Spaniard has only a year left on his contract and Real Madrid do not want to risk Isco leaving for free next season hence they might look to cash in on him very soon.

The midfielder had a decent start at Real Madrid after joining them for £27 Million from Malaga in 2013. The 29-year-old has made over 300 appearances for his club in La Liga. But his form has massively dipped lately. The Isco that arrived at Real Madrid in 2013 is not the same anymore. He appeared 25 times for Real Madrid in La Liga and only thrice in Champions League last season.

Now with the clock ticking over his contract, both Isco and Real Madrid management are said to have a meeting next week over the future course.

Spurs are looking Interested

Spurs are showing ample amount of Interest in Isco according to ESPN. Should the star decide to look for a new club, Spurs might rope in. Since the new manager and former Wolves boss, Nuno Espirito Santo is looking to add creativity to the squad, Isco might be the one who could revive the midfield for Spurs that has been off-color lately. Though Spurs were indeed interested in the midfielder even a couple of seasons back, the idea of signing him was always left off due to the huge transfer fees Los Blancos always demanded for him.

This time around things are different, Isco is not in great form which has massive plummeted his value and the fact that he is entering into his last year on contract with Real Madrid could work well for Spurs who would demand a rational fee for the Spanish International in view of the current situation.

But Spurs are not the only club looking at him. AC Milan are keen to add him. The North London rivals Arsenal are desperately in need of creativity in their midfield after the departure of Dani Ceballos and Martin Ødegaard back to Real Madrid. Arsenal have a good relationship with Los Blancos and that could work well for them. We could witness a tug of war between the two rival clubs if Isco is made available in the transfer market.
