Tottenham Hotspur are hopeful of derailing Barcelona’s deal for Vitor Roque, the 18-year-old talent from Athletico Paranaense, from under their noses in a late attempt to hijack the transfer.
Barcelona are said to have advanced talks with the Brazilian club and has a pre-agreement in place to sign Roque – although if you go deep into this transfer there were multiple clubs involved but the player’s preference to Catalonia prevailed and now the deal is said to be about but done. The transfer is reportedly set to cost Barcelona €35million, with an additional €10 million in bonuses and the deal is nearing completion pending the final documentation.
Mundo Deportivo suggests that Roque is solely concentrated on his move to Barcelona, and the agreement between the Spanish and Brazilian clubs have been in the works for weeks – leaving little room for other clubs to alter the situation.
So and attempt from Tottenham is reportedly said to be doing no damage into Barcelona’s pursuit of Vitor Roque and it should not condense into any transfer to N17.
As things stand, it seems Barcelona is the preferred destination for Vitor Roque, and the transfer to the Catalan club looks poised to be finalized soon.
