Mauricio Pochettino gave talented Tottenham Hotspur Oliver Skipp a chance to train with the club’s first team stars on Tuesday.

The players that did not participate in the World cup returned to the club for the pre-season ahead of the new campaign. Other first-team players are still at the World cup or in their rest period. A handful of academy players were given the chance to train with the A team.

The names included Anthony Georgiou, Luke Amos, Kazaiah Sterling and goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman. The players at the training have a chance to accompany the team to the US tour later this month.

Oliver Skipp, 17, was also handed the chance to train with the A team after a terrific last campaign in which he bossed the midfield for the Under-23s in the Premier League 2, UEFA Youth League and the Checkatrade Trophy.

Skipp, is one of the most highly-rated young academy players at the club and was given a chance to train with the likes of Erik Lamela, Lucas Moura, Ben Davies, Serge Aurier, Moussa Sissoko and Victor Wanyama.

The first team players who were out on loan last season have also returned at the White heart lane and were seen training at the ground.
