There have been reports in Italian media via. Calciomercato, that Jose Mourinho and AS Roma are targeting Tottenham’s Eric Dier.
Jose Mourinho and Eric Dier did work together during their time at Spurs, and they are looking to rekindle that relationship. It seems the Portuguese is a big fan of Eric Dier – if we also look back to when he was in-charge of Manchester United, he tried bringing in Eric Dier to the Red Devils.
Jose is someone who would fancy getting the best out of Eric, and certainly, there are prospects of him playing more in Rome than under Ange in North London.
Eric Dier, as of now, is down the pecking order at N17 and his time at Tottenham looks at its dusk with each passing gameweek. With a midfield trip of a Bissouma & Sarr pivot complemented by the ever-shining James Maddison and with Hojbjerg as a first sub, it doesn’t look good for Dier to gain any game time.
Maybe a move to Rome is the best option for all parties involved…’
