After finally deciding to part ways with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following Manchester’s humiliating loss (4:1) against Watford, the Red Devils are looking for a new manager. Manchester has made it clear that they’re likely to hire an interim manager until the season ends. However, that might change if one of their top targets like Mauricio Pochettino becomes available.

According to English news outlets, the Argentine would be interested in going to Old Trafford if the chance was available, and it seems like Manchester United has already taken the first step towards making that a reality. However, the Red Devils would have to agree and sign a special contract with PSG for Pochettino to leave the club for Old Trafford as his contract with the club expires in 2023.

At the moment, Mauricio Pochettino’s focus is on the Parisian Champions League game against Manchester City on Wednesday. Pochettino initially took over PSG on an 18-month contract in January, but the manager’s deal with the Ligue 1 club was extended until the summer of 2023. The extension came in after the team activated the option of an extra year.

Former Manchester United defender Garry Neville, there’s a huge possibility that Pochettino will leave PSG and join Old Trafford if given a chance. According to Neville, while Mauricio Pochettino will never admit it publicly, it’s highly possible that he will agree to join Manchester United on a five-year contract.

Many fans are hoping that Pochettino will improve Manchester United’s football results, as punters wait for more betting opportunities at Vwin with the team under new management. Vwin is an Asian soccer betting site that allows punters to be in major sports leagues like the Champions League, La Liga, Ligue, EPL, and others.

Neville believes that Pochettino has what it takes to look at the available players in the club and realize he can achieve more than what he expects with Manchester United as a project. That’s because PSG assesses their coach’s performance per season, so you have to win trophies like the Champions League, or you are out. Unfortunately, this model doesn’t seem favourable for Pochettino, and that’s why Neville thinks he should join Manchester United in a five-year contract.

Although they haven’t officially asked him to leave, PSG might agree to let the former Tottenham coach move to Old Trafford. However, if Pochettino moves to Manchester United, the Ligue 1 team might consider Zinedine Zidane as his replacement.

Ajax’s coach Erik Ten Hag is Manchester United’s second choice for Solskjaer’s successor. Ten Hag has already revealed that he would be 100% interested in the role, although he also has one more year remaining in his current contract.

The Red Devils have already announced they intend to choose an interim coach until this season ends, with their former assistant coach, Michael Carrick, chosen temporarily as their manager. Carrick will be in charge of Manchester United as they face EPL table leaders Chelsea on Sunday, after getting the better of Villarreal in a Champions League scare on Tuesday.
