“I’m really proud and excited to see what the future holds,” Scarlett said. “It’s something I’ve been working towards this year and now it’s happened, I’m just happy to be here and still enjoying my football.
“As long as I’m still focused and keep working hard, then everything will pan out for me… I’ve got bigger, stronger and I’m mentally stronger, understanding more what it takes to really break through into the first team.”
Dane Scarlett is an English under-19 superstar who was recently considered the substitute for the second half of the memorable 4-0 victory over Leeds United. He is also the youngest player to feature on the Spurs team as he made his debut under Jose Mourinho and represented the team in the Europa League under him.
The British wonderkid has been an influential player for his U-19 team helping them qualify for the European championship by scoring 6 goals in only 5 appearances.
With the renewal, the club has shown confidence and faith in the young despite the short playing time with Antonio Conte. Fans, however, have noticed that Dane has bulked and has been training under Conte to enhance his physical strength and aggression. He has been training regularly and waiting for the right opportunity to show his worth to the Italian manager.
Conte in a recent interview also told reporters that Scarlett shows promise a lot and has a very bright future with him. He also commented on how the kid with a small display of patience can learn and improve immensely under his teammates like Harry Kane and the winner of the Golden Boot, Son Heung-min.
The development of this brilliant home striker will be very exciting to see as fans are speculating that Dane will be loaned out in the upcoming season to a team and manager that can develop him and give him the playing time a potential like him deserves.
