Spurs summer has predominantly revolved around Christian Eriksen transfer saga with every other report divergent to one another. But above all odds, Mauricio Pochettino was successful in keeping his man although with a reasonable risk of him leaving for nothing at the end of this campaign.
Yet there are rumours about Tottenham offering Eriksen a new contact in bid to keep the Dane at helm beyond summer.
Christian recently starred in Denmark’s 6-0 victory over Gibraltar with the midfield maestro registering his name on the score-sheets couple of times.
BT managed to get hold of Eriksen after the match where he w as quizzed about his plans going forward, either being off to a new start in January, running down his conract, or penning a new deal at N17.
Denmark’s midfielder said: “We still can’t talk about it. I focus on the national team and, as I said, I am a Tottenham player.”
Christian was also further quizzed if he is in the process of negotiating a new contract with Spurs, BT states Eriksen ‘responded with silence’ refusing to provide any update on current situation.
