Spurs star Eriksen’s situation at the club has been in the news for a long period of time. With only 18 months remaining on his current contract Spurs are keen to tie him to a new contract but the player wants a increase in his wage. And considering his performance for the club the player indeed deserves a raise in his wage.

Eriksen is perhaps the heart of the Spurs team with Fans and Pundits calling him the best player in the team.
A report from Standard states that Spurs have a new contract on the table for Eriksen but the player is in no hurry to sign it.

Spurs are desperate to tie the player to a new contract but looks like the player is looking to view his options. If Spurs do not tie him to a new contract the player would enter his final year and may leave for free.

Eriksen’s departure would slow down Spurs as he is the heart of the midfield and the engine of the offense.
Eriksen currently earns £75k/week which is good but clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona could offer him a better earning and a better shot at winning the champions league.

The report also reveals Spurs are looking to offload players like Vincent Janssen, Mousa Dembele, Victor Wanyama, Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, and Fernando Llorente to raise money and sign new players or increase Eriksen’s wage.
Meanwhile, Eriksen has been reportedly wanted by Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich and the player are keeping his options open.
