Borussia Dortmund vs Tottenham Hotspur: Preview | UCL 2018/19

Spurs will travel to Signal Iduna Park after merely escaping with a point against Arsenal at the Wembley. Tottenham Hotspur will look to put their string of poor performances behind them and book their place in the quarter-finals in style.

Borussia Dortmund slipped to the 2nd position in the league after a 2-1 defeat against Augsburg and will look to return to winning ways and make a remarkable comeback.

This will be the 6th time the two teams have faced each other. Spurs have won 3 and drawn 2 of their last 5 matches against Dortmund.

The record is not in favour of Dortmund as they have never managed to defeat Spurs.

Spurs and Dortmund both are not enjoying a good form as of late. Spurs have only managed to win 1 point in their last 3 matches which have seen them end their title fight and put them in contention to fight for a top 4 finish.

Dortmund, on the other hand, has given away their top spot to Bayern Munich after their 2-1 defeat against Augsburg.

The Champions league is the only chance of Spurs to lift a silverware this season but the odds are not in favour of Spurs.

Spurs have won 1 drawn 1 and lost 3 of their last 5 matches while Dortmund have won 1 drawn 2 and lost 2 of their last 5 matches.

For Spurs, Dele Alli has made his return to training but will not feature against Dortmund. Allis is the only absentee from the Spurs side.

For Borussia Dortmund full-backs Lukasz Piszczek and Marcel Schmelzer are both doubtful to feature against Spurs.

However, Marco Reus and Alcacer are available for the fixture after the duo missed the 1st leg because of their hamstring and shoulder injuries respectively.
