In a shock turn of events, Arne Slot who looked like the leading candidate to join Tottenham Hotspur until yesterday, has confirmed his decision to snub the North London club and now will sign an extension at Feyenoord.
Transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano has delivered the shocking news today, with the highly-rated Dutch tactician who emerged as a top target for Spurs after discussion with ex-Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann saw him drop out of the running, as he wanted more clarity on who the sporting director would be after Fabio Paratici’s exit from the club as FIFA extended his ban over Juventus’s dealings to apply worldwide. The club were also looking at former boss Mauricio Pochettino but he too has now committed his future to London rivals Chelsea. Slot who won the Eredivisie with Feyenoord this season has become the latest coach in a long list who have snubbed Tottenham for various reasons.

Slot confirmed his future plans while speaking to AD:
“I have heard a lot about the interest of other clubs in me. I am grateful for the appreciation that this expresses, but my wish is to stay with Feyenoord and continue to build on the foundations that have been laid over the past two seasons. There are no transfer talks going on and there have been none and yesterday’s discussion was solely about a possible extension. All conversations with Feyenoord are only aimed at that. I look forward to the new season at Feyenoord.”
After Antonio Conte’s public rants about the club and backroom staff not wanting to have the pressure of challenging for major honors, ended with him seeing the door, Daniel Levy will be back on the drawing board to figure out who will be the next manager at New White Hart Lane. Another candidate they will most likely turn to former Spanish and FC Barcelona coach Luis Enrique and now after the final game against away at Leeds United, the club will need to take some major decisions to change the stagenant nature of the club once which reached the finals of the UEFA Champions League.
