Arsenal are ready and willing to spend £34 million on the Juventus defender but he is more of a necessity to their Arch-rivals than he is a need to them.
The Turkish international has been highly linked with a move to Arsenal who are tasting their worse days of Premier League under Unai Emery. Merih Demiral, who was recently purchased by Juventus this season have not found his place in the playing XI.
The Old Lady is built with 5 strong centre-backs in their squad while they require only two. And with Rugani and Bonucci already in excess, the life of Demiral was always going to be tough. The Turkish will definitely initiate a move and therefore he must consider joining Spurs.
The Lilywhites have two ageing centre-backs in the heart of their defence in Alderweireld and Vertongen, both of whom may not be there, come next season. Both the defenders have not renewed their contract yet and may not even do so.
Demiral, only 21 has gone through a lot in his career already, travelling clubs all over the Europe and finally landing in Turin. The defender, however has found it tough in getting game time there and one reason of him joining Spurs can be the amount of game time he will gain at London.
Spurs have conceded aplenty goals this season indicating their need of a new centre-back. The 10 time Turkish capped defender can be their solution. Demiral is a power packed performer with high aptitude in air along with abilities of a midfielder.
He will definitely bring that lost yard in Spurs. He can be a cheap bargain for £34 million considering the money that is being spent of defenders, nowadays. Spurs do need a boost in their line-up with Demiral being the start of their renaissance.
